00:00The Commission on Elections, or COMELEC, and the Banco Central ng Pilipinas, or BSP,

00:04completed the deposit and escrow of the final trusted billed source codes for the May 2025

00:10national and local elections. This is in compliance with the Republic Act No. 8436,

00:15as amended by Republic Act No. 9369, otherwise known as the Automated Election Systems Act.

00:22Included in the deposited items are the source codes for the automated counting machines,

00:27the consolidation and canvassing system, secure electronic transmission system,

00:32and the online voting and counting system. The poll body and BSP formalized the signing of an

00:37escrow agreement. The source codes ensure election accuracy, credibility, and transparency.
