00:00The Commission on Elections, Sir Komolec, directly responded to Vice President Sara Duterte's concerns about potential election fraud,

00:07assuring the public there will be no cheating in the upcoming elections.

00:11Komolec Chairman George Erwin Garcia guaranteed that the elections would be transparent, using modern technology to ensure integrity.

00:19He also clarified that despite former President Rodrigo Duterte being arrested and brought to the Hague,

00:25he will remain a candidate for Davao City Mayor as there is no final conviction yet.

00:30If Duterte wins while abroad, Komolec would still proclaim him.

00:35As far as the Komolec is concerned, he is still a candidate.

00:40His name is on the ballot and our countrymen will vote for him.

00:44Our law states that there must be a final judgment of conviction.

00:49We cannot say for now if the conviction mentioned is a conviction here or it should be a conviction abroad.
