00:00and a lot of the other players was Ryan Mountcastle. Mountcastle was was playing during this time

00:05and they kind of figured that when the rebuild was over this guy would lead the charge.

00:09I mean he's been okay but George he's not you know Adley Rutschman or anything like that. He's

00:15having a great spring. I mean 14 runs driven in, 324 batting average. He's one of a group of Orioles

00:20that one through seven, one through eight are pretty much as potent as any offense in the big

00:26but what are the expectations here? Do we know who Mountcastle is at this point? Is it possible

00:33there is a you know 40 home run season or something like that in store here or have we

00:39just basically seen the best? I mean I don't know if we've basically seen the best but you're not

00:45gonna get that 40 home run season either. This is sort of good news bad news right. The good news is

00:50they have brought the fences back in that camp. Not to where they used to be but not to the

00:54the Grand Canyon. They had it there all right. The bad news is that he's gonna be in a platoon

01:00more than likely at first base and he's on the wrong end of that platoon all right because Ryan

01:04O'Hearn has to play. You already said the Orioles are a very good offense and they have like 19

01:08players here. Everybody has to play which means if you get any kind of slump you're gonna sit

01:14you know because if Michaels is not hitting well then O'Hearn's going to play and then you got

01:17Cowes and you got Kerstad you know Mullens, Holliday, Westbrook, uh oh Tyler O'Neill. I

01:22didn't understand that signing here uh made no sense to me because you didn't need that position.

01:27Uh now I just don't see where all these guys going to be able to play on a day-in day-out basis.

01:32Mountcastle could be a four to five game a week player and there's a couple guys like that on

01:36the Orioles that are going to be like that because they have a lot of players that need to play.

01:40Uh I think it's going to be a prove it. You're hot, you're in the lineup. You're not? Hey we're

01:44moving on here. Uh the American Leagues is going to be tight. Orioles, Yankees uh I think I think

01:49the Jays are going to be there. Uh maybe even the Rays uh will uh make some noise and the Red Sox

01:55will be there as well. It's gonna be a tight uh division here. So uh I don't think the Orioles

01:58gonna screw around here and wait for someone to break out of a slump or figure things out here

02:02and as I said if he's platooning with O'Hearn that's the wrong end of a platoon if you're the

02:07right hand. Yeah it is and O'Hearn kind of came out of nowhere to be a star on the Orioles. So

02:13yeah I mean George you're right I think they got to play both of those guys. All right uh great

02:17spring for Cody Bellinger. He he's actually tied for the second most hits in the spring. I didn't

02:21know that until Sam brought it up. We'll never even remember this next year by the way but

02:25Bellinger having one of the best springs in all of the Grapefruit League. He's hitting 465 with

02:30three home runs. Seven runs driven in. Yankees play today. I believe they play tomorrow and

02:34then they play in Miami one more time before they open up at home. So look I mean George this is

02:40like the Bellinger Yellich question every year. It's like we saw those great years from those two

02:45guys and you know Bellinger in that free agent season in that walk year ended up having a really

02:51good year and then the Cubs kind of looked at it and were like I don't know like maybe we should

02:56move on. Yankees will take a shot here. Easier to hit home runs there than it will be where he was

03:03but I don't know George I'm kind of at the point here where Bellinger is not 25 years old anymore

03:09you know. Like I feel like it's a good shot for the Yankees to take here and I'm happy that he's

03:15had a great spring but I don't think that we're going to see the the MVP Bellinger again. I just

03:20don't. Oh I agree. I don't think we'll see that. That being said one of my favorite bets so far

03:25is his over home run prop which is 21 and a half. I think it was 20 and a half actually.

03:30So I'm on the over there mainly because you already said it. Chanky Stadium. He should hit

03:34that by mistake. All right with the short porch there. He may not hit 40 but I think he's hitting

03:4025 plus. So I'm on Bellinger there. The Yankees have it now so he is going to bet third behind

03:44Aaron Judge. Pretty good place to be. All right so Judge will be on first base. A bunch of a lot

03:50of fastballs coming his way here. So yeah I think Bellinger will have a good year. They said MVP

03:55year. No I don't see that happening but I think a good solid year. You know is he betting 465? No

04:00I don't think he's going to bet about 300. You know that's all. It's a great spring. Good for

04:04him. He's fitting in great. But I think he's going to be just fine with the New York Yankees. So yes

04:08I'm on his over home prop. Home run prop. That's where I think he's going to make the most difference

04:12for the Yankees here and give them some athleticism and maybe more importantly he gets Judge out of

04:16centerfield.
