00:03carrying them four home runs 10 runs driven in 409 batting average and i'm gonna guess george

00:12pretty much available in every fantasy league going into this week yeah probably has uh both

00:19the second base and outfield eligibility for you as well uh little uh you know i mean we kind of

00:25like that right uh the thing about mcneil is the average is probably going to help you so if you

00:29need to average you want to go out and get him he's got a little more power than what you've seen

00:33in the past he's a professional hitter what worries me about mcneil is that boy the mets have a lot of

00:39middle infielders you know and infielders in general right mcneil mauricio baity vientos when everyone's

00:45healthy can't all play right can't all play here so uh you know i think mcneil does get the benefit

00:51over some of those guys because he is the veteran but he's not a great defensive player and the other

00:55guys have more upside but he's doing it now you know you know what i mean it's sort of a combination

00:59of how does you know how this how is mendoza going to manage all this you know does he give

01:04deference to the veteran there does he want going to go with the hot guy which is probably how i would

01:08play it what he got to play the young guys which the mets don't seem to be worried about as much

01:12here so i do like mcneil he probably does deserve a little bit more love from us than we give

01:16him but like i said other than average i'm not so sure where he really helps you there's no speed

01:21coming so he's not stealing any bases the power's been there but that's probably a mirage so it's

01:26really the average uh which generally could be a somewhat place you need help might need to get

01:29up a point or two he can't help there deeper leagues may be available for you to pick up maybe

01:34sub in depending on the format the texas rangers george finally hit the ball this week man like took

01:39all season long had a couple of big offensive performances evan carter one that had a good week

01:44three home runs seven runs driven in 556 batting average i mean it's like we've been waiting for this

01:50all season there have been some strange things george to happen in baseball this year one of the

01:56things that i would identify is the fact that the rangers just simply haven't hit like that i think

02:00that that to me was one of is one of the surprises that probably will work itself out the rest of the

02:06season it seems like a lot of the players in this team are pretty solid by low i would agree right

02:12they certainly can't be as bad as they were the first 60 65 games right i mean they couldn't hit their

02:17weight of the paper bag uh now you've seen it you've seen a couple of offensive explosions the

02:21past couple of weeks right they've laid uh what 16 runs on the board in a couple of games here which

02:26is somewhat uh surprising so yeah i don't think it can be any worse am i running out to get evan carter

02:31i don't know about that either uh once i think you said 47 mcneil deeper league sure it'll be

02:36at least 12 probably 14 plus uh team leagues i'll carter interest me more than a 10 or a 12 team league

02:43of course nail only yeah uh there's no question that the that's the team for me in the second half

02:50of the season that i'm going to keep a close eye on here sam sent me a message here during the show

02:54let me sure i read it uh jammed thumb yesterday in the baseball game that he had so we'll keep an eye

02:59and see if he probably won't play saturday and sunday but we'll see what happens next week okay so

03:03the big story in boston earlier in the week george the call up of roman anthony right roman anthony made

03:08his major league debut ended up playing a little bit he's been okay a little outshined by his rookie

03:14teammate marcello wire who hit two home runs in one game this week 333 batting average to go along with

03:21it george the red sox simply do not have enough room for all of these players but as the orioles

03:28would tell you last year they didn't have enough room for players and made a really bad trade

03:31so i hope for boston's sake they don't just punt players to punt players but uh if the red sox are

03:40in it by the way i don't think they will be but if the red sox are in it they certainly have the

03:43assets to to get things done i would suspect george that if you have uh marcello meyer and you have

03:50roman anthony and campbell and all these players they even have another guy in the minors too

03:54someone's gonna go rafael and duran i don't know but i think it'll be in the off season i think

03:59you're safe having those guys this year i probably agree with you all right i'm really on all your

04:06points i don't think dog wants is going to be there at the end either they are going to have

04:10to trade somebody they're not going to have a choice uh because they have too many uh too many

04:13good young players who need to play here uh it's a good problem to have now they made a very good

04:18trade last off season right when they traded for i think it was four youngsters to get garrett crochet

04:22we saw crochet last night pitch brilliantly against the yankees so they got their ace they can do the

04:27same thing here yeah maybe not four but they can headline mayor campbell anthony's not going

04:33anywhere all right so well you don't throw in him being traded here but they can headline one of their

04:37top youngsters to go get i imagine they probably think they need more pitching not hitting here

04:41so maybe they do that you know i keep bringing up alcantara over and over again now that you know

04:46maybe he's figured it out now he'll have to trade value that's maybe more a deadline deal uh than in the

04:51off season but maybe that's an off season deal as well so the red sox are going to be a team to

04:55watch as far as moves are concerned here remember the off season what is breakman going to do as

05:00well is he going to uh use that option and get out or you know 40 million dollars a year for sake

05:06does he think he can really cash in although missing too much of the season with this injury

05:10is probably not going to help that situation
