00:09key contributors from last season, including linebacker Donald Payne, who led the team

00:16Arlington was second in the UFL last season in takeaways with 14, and they looked to continue

00:20that success.

00:21However, when the takeaways weren't coming, the defense struggled.

00:26The Renegades finished second to last in both points-per-game allowed and yards-per-game

00:29allowed, with only the Memphis Showboats being worse.

00:33Defensively, we weren't up to par a year ago, so I really feel so far, watching our

00:39team, I really believe we're going to be much better defensively.

00:42That'll give us a big step towards being a better team.
