It’s officially astronomical spring and with it brings the warmest day of the year so far! There will be plenty of dry and sunny weather around too with highs of 20C possible.

00:06For the rest of Thursday there will be plenty of dry and sunny weather around. A little

00:10bit hazy though for some of us and southerly winds will drag mild air from France really

00:15lifting those temperatures and bringing with it highs of possibly 20 degrees Celsius.

00:22More cloud around though tomorrow and there's also a chance of showers in the west. Now

00:26these will be mostly for southwest England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Western Scotland

00:30and in these regions it will also be a little bit breezier. Mainly dry elsewhere though

00:35with some brighter spells developing and it will be another mild day.

00:41Turning more unsettled though as we head towards the weekend there are some outbreaks of rain

00:45mostly in the north and west. Brighter spells will develop too and it will remain mild.
