00:00With 39 days to go before the general election, Members of Parliament have kicked into full
00:07electioneering mode.
00:08Good morning to the constituents of the best constituency in Trinidad and Tobago.
00:18And I stress Tobago because the Member of Parliament for Tobago West is here.
00:25I repeat, the best constituency in Trinidad and Tobago.
00:32MP Camille Robinson-Regis officially opened the TrinCity Community Centre, much to the
00:38delight of about 200 constituents of what is now known as TrinCity Maloney.
00:44I long for this modern, functional and accessible community space.
00:50And today that wait is officially over.
00:54As your Member of Parliament, I am proud and honoured to stand before you to open the
01:00doors to opportunity, to unlock the potential of this great community and to deliver on
01:05a promise made and a commitment fulfilled.
01:10It's been an eventful week for the MP, who was appointed Attorney General on Monday and
01:15is now officially on the election runway.
01:18This election presents a critical choice for the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
01:25A choice between continued progress under the People's National Movement or a return
01:32to uncertainty and instability under those who have never delivered for the people of
01:39Trinidad and Tobago.
01:41Robinson-Regis was full of praise for her electoral district as she recognised a number
01:46of constituents for success in their respective endeavours.
01:50Our constituency, as I said, is led by Dr. Jelani Reid.
01:55We have Dr. Shaquille Trotman, who is the Secretary of the constituency.
02:00He's another medical doctor.
02:03And we have Luanda Francis-Blackman and Atiyah Thomas, both of them law students.
02:11We have them here in TrinCity Maloney.
02:14And then of course you'll have the AG.
02:20Robinson-Regis did not field questions from the media today.
