00:00The inaugural running of the Arcana Series kicked off on the eve of the August sales.

00:18The Arcana Series, De Pouliche had attracted 140 entrants with on the day 11 debutant fillies

00:25starting over the seven furlongs of the Deauville Straight Course.

00:42Well congratulations on winning the inaugural race of the inaugural Arcana Series.

00:51We bought this horse here in Arcana and it's great to race the horse here.

01:04The China Horse Club bought Rose Bloom for 320,000 euros last summer from Ballylyn Stud.

01:11Her full sister will be sailing on the first day of the 2023 August sales, lot 121.

01:17Next up, another set of first-time starters, Olan Ray Scholtz, again at the distance of

01:22seven furlongs.

01:41This is fantastic.

01:42We bought I think seven horses with the series in mind in October when Freddie Powell came

01:47to Brian and I and said this is what they were doing and we got a number of owners behind

01:52it and this was the horse that kind of stood out from the rest.

01:56The winning colt was sold by Jean-Pierre and Guillaume Garcon's Arras de l'Hôtellerie.

02:15I know Almanzor, you know people were a bit humming and ahhing about him but I just thought

02:21he had a lot of quality.

02:23He moved very well, lovely walker and I'm a fan of the stallion so you know I think

02:30he cost 35,000 euros so it's looking as I said like good value now.

02:34Last but not least, the Arcana Series Criterium d'Eté over six furlongs with six runners.

02:39Four colts, two fillies, all sold as yearlings at Arcana either in August, September or October.

02:49It's great, we really appreciate the poulish and it's a pleasure.

02:55We feel a lot of emotion.

02:57Yes, we work for it, we get up every day to get to this level and to have it confirmed

03:03like this is magnificent.

03:08I found it on sale in September, we bought five or six horses.
