00:00And to enhance the efficiency of aid and service distribution,

00:03the government is implementing a digital system for financial assistance programs

00:09through online platforms. Our Clayzel Pardilia has more.

00:15The money Marites receives from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino program

00:19goes towards buying food and her children's allowances.

00:23However, this amount is still deducted every time they claim assistance from their barangay

00:29going to the municipality of Palapag in Northern Samar.

00:50To speed up the delivery of assistance and services, the administration of President

00:56Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. aims to transition the distribution of various financial assistance

01:02online. The Department of Social Welfare and Development has initiated downloading of

01:09assistance through e-wallets, encouraging beneficiaries to quickly receive their

01:14benefits using online payment apps. The government plans to expand this initiative to other programs

01:21such as the Tulong Panghanap Buhay Program for Disadvantaged and Displaced Workers,

01:26or TUPAD, under the Department of Labor and Employment.

01:51Malacanang has assured that digital literacy will be taught to citizens to ensure their

02:06ability to use technology and online government services is improved.
