00:04All right! I'm proud to do a raw dog out in Skokie.
00:10Yes, it's right under Skokie. Not too far from Spargo.
00:14Here in Illinois.
00:16You know, we've been around for over 50 years.
00:24It's family owned.
00:27It's a popular attraction.
00:31Another Vietnamese buffet number.
00:34So we're here.
00:36We're going to give them a raw dog's ride.
00:38See if they're worthy to take.
00:54All right, here we go.
01:12All right.
01:14First thing I notice is the bun to dog ratio is solid.
01:17Look at this.
01:19When the nose of the dog sticks out, you know it's good bun to dog ratio.
01:23Got the traditional poppy seed bun.
01:26It's got good coloring. Nice steamed bun.
01:29Hot dog, you know, hot dog's almost sticking to the bun itself.
01:33But this is where you get to actually test it.
01:35How does it taste?
01:45Excellent snap. Excellent snap.
01:52This hot dog is a solid triple.
01:59I mean, you can see it going into the gap, getting stuck in the ivy,
02:03and just landing on the wall and just dying out there in that little gap there,
02:07out there in Rittenfield.
02:11Excellent.
02:13Now here's the chili cheese.
02:15All right, we got the beans.
02:17We got a little bit of leaky chili.
02:19Kind of a weird looking cheese sauce.
02:40Soft and chilly, leaky chilly.
02:43Cheese, kind of cold.
02:47Didn't melt, didn't blend well.
02:51The chili dog is a strikeout.
02:57But this dog is solid.
03:03Overall, there's a good vibe here.
03:05All right.
03:07Well, Fern's Palace, I didn't even expect to hit this place today.
03:10I just saw it on the road.
03:12So see, when I'm going out wall dogging, and if I see one spot,
03:15I might go, hey, I'm going to stop there too.
03:18And that's how it goes.
