00:00The Department of Health's target is to make the entire Zamboanga Peninsula rabies-free.

00:05Because of this, Zamboanga City LGU will strengthen the information drive against rabies.

00:17The vaccination against rabies is still in line here at Animal Rights Center in Zamboanga City.

00:22These scenarios were suggested by the local government when Rabies Awareness Month is approaching.

00:27In fact, the activities of LGU in Zamboanga City are already in place to strengthen the information drive against rabies

00:33and to reduce the number of dogs and cats that bite in the city.

00:37We have a watercade and then a shared program,

00:41which includes the info dissemination,

00:47film showing,

00:50so that we can disseminate information

00:55about the rabies control and eradication program.

01:00The Department of Health continues to target rabies cases so that the entire Region 9 can be declared rabies-free.

01:06As of now, only three towns in the province of Zamacacibugay have been declared rabies-free.

01:11According to the DOH, the supply of rabies vaccines in Zamboanga Peninsula is sufficient.

01:15Because our top priority is to clear the area as rabies-free,

01:20so for the entire Zamboanga Peninsula,

01:23out of the 72 areas,

01:27we have only three municipalities declared as rabies-free.

01:32In Zamboanga-Cibugay province,

01:35there are only Taunga, Mapulungay and Tagusan municipalities.
