00:02in the middle of the holiday season.

00:16It's only been 16 days and it's already Christmas.

00:25We can already feel the increase in traffic on the streets of Metro Manila.

00:37as Christmas is just around the corner.

00:39This morning, we can already feel the increase in traffic on Edsa Munoz and Edsa Balintawak.

00:45Most of the time, when you go to the north,

00:47this is where the North Luzon Expressway enters.

00:51Even though booking a motorcycle taxi and TNVS is not an issue anymore,

00:56many of our countrymen are complaining

00:59and some of them even posted online about how hard it is for them to book.

01:04Some even said that sometimes it takes up to five minutes before they can find a booking.

01:10Meanwhile, the Land Transportation Office will deploy a lot of personnel this holiday season.

01:17According to LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II,

01:21their presence is important, especially now that Christmas and New Year are just around the corner.

01:27He also said that his personnel should be on guard, especially when the truck van is already lifted.

01:33He also reminded truck drivers to ensure that their own and their vehicles are in good condition.

01:42This happened after an accident in Quezon City and Paranaque last week that killed five people.

01:51Aside from the LTO, they will also monitor the people from MMDA,

01:56traffic unit of LGUs, and personnel from PNP.

02:21There are 131 malls in Metro Manila and 29 of them are located along EDSA.
