00:00The Department of Health recorded a decrease in the number of dengue cases across the country.

00:05Meanwhile, the program Puro Kalusugan of DOH added the details of the country's latest news by Bernard Ferrer of PTV Manila.

00:16The number of dengue cases in the country decreased by 5% in the last 4 weeks.

00:21According to the Department of Health, from 15,904 dengue cases,

00:26it decreased to 15,134 dengue cases from Jan. 19 to Feb. 15.

00:32According to DOH, the decrease in the number of dengue cases is the result of a more vigorous campaign against dengue.

00:38According to the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,

00:41the spread of the disease should be strictly monitored and guaranteed.

00:45Clean-up drives have been set up to destroy the affected areas of the country,

00:49along with misting and fogging in areas with high dengue cases

00:54To speed up the treatment of those with symptoms,

00:57DOH has deployed thousands of dengue IgG, IgM, and dengue RdT testing kits in hospitals and health centers.

01:05All public health facilities have been re-opened their dengue fast lanes to ensure the proper reaction of patients.

01:13Children aged 5 to 14 years old are the most affected by dengue.

01:18Meanwhile, a program was launched by DOH that provides free health screening and medical services.

01:26One of the early participants is Ms. Linda to assess her condition due to heart disease.

01:32Of course, we don't have money, we are poor, we are far from the hospital, from the doctor.

01:37So when we found out about her condition, we immediately asked if there was a doctor.

01:43They said there was one. I called all the senior citizens.

01:46Ms. Linda not only received a free check-up,

01:49she also received a 200-pesos voucher from the President

01:53where they were able to receive fresh fruits and vegetables.

01:56The goal of Puro Kalusugan is to promote health in the heart,

01:59to avoid cancer,

02:00to promote healthy living by providing an accessible health service.

02:06This is part of Philippine Hearth Month and National Cancer Awareness Month.
