00:00In seven years with Patrick Mahomes as the starting quarterback, the Chiefs have won the AFC championship five times.
00:07They will be the reigning AFC champs entering next season on this side of the National Football League.
00:13Who did the Chiefs beat in said AFC title game? The Buffalo Bills.
00:17So you would think the Bills probably have the next best price outside of Kansas City.
00:22You would be incorrect at this stage of the 2025 NFL off-season from those teams around the AFC to win Super Bowl 60.
00:30In fact, the Chiefs don't even have the best price by themselves.
00:34They have the co-second best number behind Philadelphia alongside the Baltimore Ravens.
00:40Both the Chiefs and the flock at plus 650 to win Super Bowl 60.
00:4512-5 the record for the Ravens, second consecutive AFC North divisional crown.
00:5027th overall pick for the Ravens. Seven total draft picks in the 2025 NFL draft.
00:56Six million dollars of cap space.
00:59VRS, here the Ravens are once again losing in the divisional round on the road in Buffalo.
01:05A great game that came down to a drop to point conversion as the flock tried to battle its way back.
01:12And yet the odds makers still have a higher expectation for the Ravens than even that of Buffalo.
01:19Big question number one.
01:22Understanding the lack of relative success Lamar Jackson has had during his tenure in the NFL is an early playoff exit.
01:31Now the expectation, a.k.a. for some further clarification, are we done even thinking the Ravens could win an AFC championship at this stage?
01:42I'm not. They're hard to quit because like when you lace them up to start the season,
01:47they're always in your conversation.
01:49Like you ever look at the Ravens while Lamar Jackson's healthy entering into season and paid going like, you know what?
01:54I just think this is a year they go under 500.
01:56Like we champion like the Pittsburgh Sears.
01:58Hey, just get a game like that.
01:59We have championship aspirations for a team that hasn't won a championship in quite some time.
02:03It was the last season, 2012.
02:05So we're going on approaching like that 15th year anniversary coming up sooner than later.
02:10But I just look at the regular season, say, OK, outside of catastrophic injury and Lamar Jackson is OK, a quarterback,
02:16they're going to win double digits, which is what they do.
02:1810 and 6, 14 and 2, 11 and 5.
02:20The one down year in 2021, 8 of 9.
02:22Then right back to 10 and 7, 13 and 4, and 12 and 5.
02:25It's what they do.
02:26They're going to win double digits.
02:27They're going to challenge for that division championship.
02:29They're going to make the playoffs.
02:31And it's one of those teams that even though they haven't had success in playoffs, meaning getting to a Super Bowl with Lamar and winning it,
02:37you're still looking at them as a team that can go anywhere and win.
02:39Like look at the price points.
02:40Like they played the Buffalo Bills there.
02:42Close in spread where I think, did they close as a favorite against the Buffalo Bills?
02:46Or darn near close to like a one or two point spread either direction.
02:49They probably had that same spread in Kansas City, which shows the amount of respect that they get.
02:53And it's not just a number that you pull out of a hat.
02:56They're that good on a game-to-game basis.
02:58They've just not been able to get over the top.
03:00But as I said to start the conversation, I can't quit them.
03:03Like I expect them to be in the playoffs and doing damage even though they haven't done that over the past couple of years.
