00:00slow motion. Well, they're in a relationship with winning at the moment
00:04as the National Under-17 footballers took another step closer to the final
00:08round of the Concacaf Under-17 World Cup qualifier after they hammered St. Martin
00:129-0 last evening. Striker Josiah Kalicheron again notched his hat-trick
00:17to take his goal tally to five. TNT's nine unanswered goals now puts them tied
00:21on seven points at Costa Rica at the end of the round. A victory wasn't the only
00:27objective for the Soccer Warriors against St. Martin but goal difference
00:31as well. And Josiah Kalicheron would put TNT on course for both as he opened the
00:41scoring after 36 minutes. Sheridan McNish got his first of the tournament
00:45to hand the young Soccer Warriors a 2-0 halftime lead. And it took Kalicheron
00:50only two minutes after the restart to notch another brace. Kalicheron
00:57would go one better this time grabbing his hat-trick to take his tally to five
01:01goals. That would only open the floodgates as Adam Pierre smashed home a
01:08banger. Timothy Valentine also found the score sheet, paving the way for
01:19Kristen Gomez to score TNT's seventh. After being the assist man Caden
01:26Trestreel would score one himself. And the skipper Nikosi Fonsette would take
01:35TNT to cloud nine finishing off a productive day in the office with a
01:39commanding 9-0 victory. Terence Clark, TV6 Sport.
01:43Well, let's Fatima, Benedict and Arima combine. All right, don't blush baby but
01:48TNT are on cloud nine after beating St. Martin over their wine-and-rose
01:52performance. Well, that failed to impress head coach Sean Cooper, who was not
01:55pleased with the performance.
02:18A different game plan to what the coach had planned. So, you know, all in all we
02:23got nine goals. Again, as I said, any amount of goals today would not have
02:29really mattered as the performance of the team because at the end of the day
02:34we have to play Costa Rica and it's a do or die. And coach Cooper gave his
02:40assessment of the Costa Ricans and what TNT will have to do against the Central
02:46Well, they are very dynamic, a very well oiled team.
02:52They look very experienced, well prepared. It's going to be a tough game what we are up for.
03:00What can you guys work to do against Costa Rica to improve our...
03:05I think our general game has to improve. A general game has to improve. We can't play like this
03:11and go up against Costa Rica in the final game.
03:15So we'll do what we have to do, you know, and see how it plays out.
03:22And while Coach Cooper is critical of their performance, he heaped praise on his players
03:26for their improvement as the tournament progressed.
03:29Well, the level of concentration off the field, I think we have matured.
03:37The game we were seeing some maturity in the players, I mean, after that we have to
03:43transfer it onto the football field.
03:46Some of the guys who were substitutes, they came onto the field and they made a difference
03:50in the performances and in all the games we played.
03:54So all in all, I think we have a good group here, but we are now starting to gel and I
03:59hope we are the final, the final little to cross it.
04:05All the time to get.
04:06But.
