00:00And therefore, with the drift pattern, it suggests that it could be out of Trinidad
00:05and Tobago waters, and there is a possibility that they could be in foreign waters, for
00:12example, Venezuela, on the north side of Venezuela, or even to the southern side of Grenada, things
00:18like that.
00:19So there are those possibilities.
00:21So it's not something that I would recommend that we call it a recovery at this stage.
00:27That is sending a very awkward message.
00:30Mr. Stewart said the two fishermen journeyed out to sea without the necessary equipment
00:35inclusive of cellular phones, GPS and radios.
00:40Mr. Stewart said TEMA, along with the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard and other agencies
00:45have been in touch with Orcari Com neighbors regarding any sightings of the two fishermen.
00:51There is a network between the authorities, for example, the Trinidad and Tobago Coast
00:56Guard, their border territory, for instances as these, that in common practice, what they
01:05do, they will relay information to the Venezuelan authorities, Grenadian authorities, and neighboring
01:14countries.
01:15And the north coast radio have been putting out those notices to mariners to be on the
01:22sharp lookout for this vessel that is delayed, they will use language as delayed at sea.
01:30To ensure a comprehensive search, Mr. Stewart said TEMA continues to work closely with the
01:35relevant authorities, coordinating efforts to expand the search coverage and improve
01:41the chances of locating the missing men.
01:43There is a strong possibility, due to the expansive search parameters, that there could
01:52be some good news.
01:55Once we collaborate with the Venezuelan authorities and look at the drift pattern, which suggests
02:00that the proximity to their waters is possible, and given the regional precedents, of course
02:08border incidents such as these, I know definitely that these are, based on my experience, these
02:14are conditions that will allow for that cross-border communications to take place through the authorities.
02:21Anyone with information that may assist is asked to contact TEMA.
