00:08The court fixed the date after hearing the explanation from the prosecution on Wednesday

00:13that they had yet to receive post-mortem and chemical analysis reports related to the case.

00:18The 34-year-old accused, Nur Afifah Abdullah Shuhaimi, allegedly killed eight-month-old

00:33The accused allegedly swaddled the victim, shoved a milk bottle into his mouth, covered

00:37it with cloth and smothered him with a pillow.

00:40The charge against the accused is framed under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which provides

00:45for the death penalty or an imprisonment of 30 to 40 years.

00:49If convicted, the mother-of-three will also be subjected to mandatory whipping of not

00:54less than 12 strokes.
