00:22No plea was recorded as murder cases fall under the jurisdiction of the High Court.
00:28The duo were charged together with causing the death of 62-year-old Sabari on a bridge
00:34in Kampung Empah, Kubang Pasu, at about 5.30 a.m. on September 4.
00:40They were charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the death penalty
00:45or a maximum of 40 years' imprisonment and a minimum of 12 strokes of the cane.
00:51The court set January 5 next year for next mention.
00:54Previously, media reports stated that Sabari, who lived alone in Kampung Mengkuang Tengah
00:59in Kuala Pegang, Baling, went missing on September 4.
