The London Question: Is eating out too expensive?

00:05Yeah, I think it's quite expensive, especially when you come into the city and you want to have a normal meal.

00:09So, a meal for two people could be, what, £40, £50 per person,

00:12which sometimes is just too much when you just want to have something to eat.

00:15Honestly, you'd spend maybe more than £12 just for a lunch.

00:23Basically, your whole paycheck is gone within half the month.

00:26I'm actually walking further up to try and find somewhere a little bit cheaper.

00:29It's just getting too expensive, so I don't know why.

00:32Cost of living, inflation, too much money printing, it's all adding to it, really.

00:37If you want to actually have a proper meal, it's quite hard to find something that's affordable.

00:42If you want something quick and easy, then you're not really getting a good meal.

00:48before you could find a cafe and get a few things for maybe £5, £6.

00:51You're now looking at spending maybe £15 per person.

01:03but the price of it is near enough to skyrocket it.

01:10Over the years, I feel like McDonald's has become more and more expensive.

01:13It's not insane prices, but before you could spend £4,

01:18and you're getting a burger, chips, a drink.

01:20Now you're spending £7 to £10 per person.

01:24The whole concept of fast food places as well,

01:26it was meant to be something that was cheap and quick,

01:29but it's not that anymore.

01:30I mean, it's not quick anymore for sure either.
