How much are pints in London and are they too expensive?

We ask Londoners about the price of pints in London.

00:05I was just away for the weekend celebrating my dad's 80th birthday.

00:10This pub on the corner charges £7 for a Guinness.

00:14And when I got to Reading, I had to wait for my father because he was stuck in traffic.

00:17£7.20 for one pint, and I've just bought ten cans for a pound more than that.

00:21I mean, personally, I don't drink, so thankfully it doesn't affect me, but it is a lot more expensive.

00:27I used to come on holiday and trips down here a few times a few years ago before moving,

00:31and it's almost like double the price for a lot of places.

00:34Glasgow's quite cheap for drink, I would say.

00:36You don't think it when you live there, but comparing it to London, it definitely is a lot cheaper.

00:40It's absolutely ridiculous. I know there's been the National Insurance strikes gone up, hikes.

00:46You can't vape. I mean, the disposable vapes are outlawed now.

00:50That's going to hit them as well, I think.

00:52But if they don't lower their prices or at least do meal deals like Witherspoons do,

00:56they're going to close. Left, right and centre. I've seen so many close.
