Is shopping too expensive in London?

We ask Londoners if they have seen a rise in their weekly shops.

00:08Yeah, I do notice that we spend, for two of us, nearly £100 a week, which is probably

00:16£30 more than what we used to spend. So yeah, seems astronomical.

00:21Prices in supermarkets have risen around 50% over the last year.

00:26Have you noticed shopping getting more expensive?

00:29Yeah, of course, yeah, yes.

00:30Is there anything in particular that you found, like a weekly shop or anything like that?

00:35Yeah, I mean, everything is increased, like the necessities, the price of just any type of food.

00:43To me, yeah, like some items have doubled. So yes, yes, definitely.

00:48Yeah, well, nothing is actually coming down at the moment. So the prices are rising,

00:52and it's very unlikely they'll come down again. So yeah, they should come down.
