00:00The Department of Transportation or DOTR Secretary Jaime Bautista assured the EDSA busway will

00:05not be removed despite earlier discussions about potentially making space for private

00:10vehicles.

00:11He confirmed the dedicated bus lane will be improved with the help of the private sector

00:15involvement on its hand operations and management.

00:18Bautista also stated that a feasibility study for privatization will be completed soon aiming

00:23for expansion by the end of 2026.

00:26He clarified that the EDSA busway and the MRT-3 railway line serve different commuter

00:32needs with the busway covering a broader area.
