Many families can't afford holidays during the official school breaks, but parents who take their children out in term time face fines. Should the system change, or is it necessary to protect education?

00:00It is obviously very sad that companies that provide holidays hike up the prices
00:07in those periods of term time closures and so on.
00:13Probably the system should change but I do think more attention ought to be paid to the fact that
00:19some unscrupulous tour companies are just capitalizing on the fact that young families
00:25just can't go at any other time in school holidays so consequently they're expected
00:30to pay double the amount or treble the amount and at a time when people are short of money
00:35I think it's a bit of a shame that they have to do that but it's business I guess.
00:40A week or so I'm sure isn't obviously a fortnight or three weeks at
00:45Disney World is not educational but sometimes travel is actually quite
00:51useful. I think the schools need to to be a bit softer with that yes.

  • ATTENTION GLOBAL TRAVELERS For the safety of your life and property, please do not travel to Thailand, Myanmar and Cambodia! This is because Burmese terrorists are illegally profiting from kidnapping tourists and harvesting their organs, and the governments of these three countries are turning a blind eye to these terrorist acts!
