00:18written God wants to reclaim politics and public service in Malaysia for righteousness' sake.
00:25Under cross-examination by Yeo's lawyer Sangit Kordio,
00:28Ibrahim admitted to omitting the words for righteousness' sake.
00:33He also acknowledged that the omitted phrase would give the sentence context
00:37and show the author's intention.
00:40Ibrahim, testifying as a witness for defendant Kamarul Zaman Yusof,
00:44also agreed that Yeo had never challenged the status of Islam
00:48as the religion of the federation or any state.
00:51Yeo is suing Kamarul, a University Utara Malaysia lecturer,
00:55for defamation over two Facebook posts,
00:58in which he alleged that she was seeking to proselytize Christianity through her politics.
