00:00A lawyer has denounced Amanah's move to file multiple police reports against PAS for alleged

00:07slander as a political stunt and futile exercise.

00:10ASRI Murugan said a single complaint to a law enforcement agency would suffice as a

00:19He was responding to Amanah's Secretary-General Faiz Fazil's call for an investigation into

00:25comments made by Kedah Menteri Besar and PAS Election Director, Sanusi Noor.

00:30Last Friday, Sanusi claimed that Amanah was created by DAP when speaking at the Islamic

00:36Party's Himpunan Umar Selamakan Malaysia event.

00:40ASRI Murugan said although Sanusi's statement might have been distasteful, he doubted that

00:45it gave rise to an offence under the penal code.

00:49Lawyer Syed Iskandar Syed Jafar said the better option was for Amanah to issue political

00:54statements to counter Sanusi's claim.

00:58He said as a party in the unity government, Amanah has the means to reach their targeted

01:03audience and put out a consistent narrative to counter PAS' mind games.
