00:00After several weeks of constant drilling and sleepless nights, two bands walked away with
00:05the small band Panorama title.
00:07They are Tobago TNTK, New East Side Dimension and San Fernando Golden Hands.
00:12Thankful is the word both winners used to describe how they felt after they won the
00:17national Panorama title for small bands.
00:20Kersh Ramsey, arranger for Tobago TNTK, New East Side Dimension and Vanessa Headley, arranger
00:25for Golden Hands, both agreed that Pan is a labor of love.
00:29Pan arranger for East Side Dimension, Ramsey says, he's been working with the band for
00:34a little over five years and has no regrets.
00:37Lucky enough, last year I was able to win and this year I was able to defend the title.
00:43I am so grateful and so happy to see that I had the opportunity to take the band from
00:50where they were and now I was able to take them to the top.
00:54I'm just grateful and thankful for that.
00:57The two times a small band winner says the only challenge he faced leading up to Panorama
01:02was picking the perfect song.
01:04I would choose a song that I know is capable enough to at least I could create a good arrangement
01:11to win.
01:12So the Rhinorama, I chose that song the night of the launch of the Panorama.
01:20So I had about four songs, I had four options right and I didn't know what to choose at
01:26all.
01:27So I couldn't start my arrangement.
01:28I could never start.
01:29And then the launch of Panorama come in, Panorama people are going to, and the launch of Panorama
01:34I heard Renegades play the Rhinorama on the state side for the performance and the crowd
01:39response.
01:40Listen, the way the crowd responded to that song, yeah, I said right away, this is a choice,
01:46this is what I'm going with to defend my title and yeah, Rhinorama.
01:51Vanessa Headley became the second woman in TNT's history to win a national Panorama title
01:56when her San Fernando-based The Golden Hands steel band also won the 2025 Small Bands Panorama
02:02title with her arrangement of Lord Nelson's Me Lover.
02:05TV6 spoke to Headley via telephone and she told us that she was still beaming with pride
02:10and excitement, which she dedicated to her late mother.
02:14Yeah, I wish she was here to celebrate this with us.
02:17This is our second championship title and you know, it's a very bitter feeling, a lot
02:26more sweet than bitter because it is really heartwarming for all of us to know that we
02:35are able to carry on her legacy.
02:40One of the things that we see at Golden Hands is that we demonstrate pure Pan excellence.
02:45Headley says she was happy to share the title with Ramsey, but come 2026, Golden Hands will
02:50be coming in with full force to defend their title.
02:54Both arrangers agreed that Pan has grown a lot since its inception.
02:58They both thanked Pan Trinbago President Beverly Ramsey Moore for her contribution to Pan and
03:03enriching its legacy.
