00:00Farka talked about his three rules that a player has to tick the boxes. He has to be

00:10quality that is better than what they've got. He has to have the right attitude and buy

00:15into what leads are doing completely. He doesn't want a bad egg and it has to make sense financially.

00:21Only if a player satisfies those three conditions will they sign off on a move. We know that

00:27in the summer there was a period of time spent waiting and trying for Buendia and it never

00:33happened. But you understand that. He knows what he'd get with him. I think we all know

00:37as well that if they did get him with Buendia they'd probably win this league by, I don't

00:42know, between six to ten points. A conservative estimate. I think they'd pull away in a way

00:47that they haven't managed to yet. He just would be the missing piece of the puzzle for

00:52me or a player of his ilk. But him specifically. Farka knows exactly what he'd get. I guess

00:59everyone just has their favourite thing. If you know what it does and it's worked every

01:03time previously and it fits, then why wouldn't you want it? I understand Leeds saying, well

01:10actually we think he's probably going to go to La Liga because, one, it manages expectation.

01:17Two, it lessens the potential for you to look stupid at having chased a player that

01:23you weren't going to get. And three, because what they've experienced since they dropped

01:28into the Championship, Leeds, is a huge, huge number of players saying no to the idea of

01:33playing in the English second tier. But you just wonder, because there's that piece that

01:38you wrote, isn't there, about La Liga and who could realistically afford it and how

01:44realistic it is that somebody in La Liga applies that kind of finance into a player that's

01:49played so few minutes this season?

01:51I was speaking to Jamie Kemp, who works for Opta. He's an editor there, but he's a very,

01:56very good person to know with great knowledge on Spanish football. He was saying that there's

02:01probably about six teams who'd be looking to get him from a hypothetical standpoint.
