00:00Hello, well it's a cold and dull picture across central and southern England today, but there

00:05are brighter spells developing elsewhere. Taking a look at the bigger picture then,

00:09we have area of higher pressure extending across the south, squeezing the ice bars towards

00:14the north and west, with this weather front just gradually pushing in across Northern

00:19Ireland and Western Scotland Sunday and into Monday.

00:24But back to the rest of this afternoon, we hold on to this blanket of cloud across central

00:28and southern England, thick enough for some drizzle in places. Further towards the west,

00:33a bit more of a breeze, so we'll see some breaks in the cloud developing across northern

00:37parts of Devon, Cornwall, into Wales and more so across north-eastern England.

00:42Best of the sunshine though, across north and eastern parts of Scotland, we hold on

00:46to a bit more of a breeze further towards the west where the winds will gradually ease

00:51through the day. But it'll be here where we see the highest temperatures today at around

00:5612 or 13 degrees. That's a significant comparison further towards the south. Underneath this

01:02cloud, with colder air coming up from the near continent, temperatures struggling only

01:06around 3 or 5 degrees.

01:10So as we go through Saturday night, this cloud continues to push its way northwards, affecting

01:16northern parts of Wales and into northern England. There will be some breaks though,

01:20and where we see any breaks, a touch of frost may develop and some mist and fog patches

01:25too, with this weather front just gradually trying to push in from the west. But otherwise,

01:30it is going to be a cold night underneath this blanket of cloud, temperatures close

01:35to freezing, but still mild across northern Ireland and western parts of Scotland.

01:42So if you are up early Sunday morning on your stroll across the south, you may see some

01:46drizzle but also some snow grains being brought up from the English Channel. But for all of

01:52us Sunday, it is going to be a cloudier picture, especially across parts of Wales and northern

01:57England. Further towards the west of northern Ireland, that's where we'll start to see this

02:02weather front just gradually approaching, just to bring some drizzle in places. But

02:07otherwise, it is going to be feeling cold for all of us. Again, temperatures struggling

02:12here at around 2 to 5 degrees, always mildest further towards the west.

02:19And as we go through Sunday evening, not much change across England and Wales. Hold on to

02:23a lot of cloud, maybe some breaks to allow some mist, fog and a touch of frost. But further

02:29towards the west, across northern Ireland and western parts of Scotland, this is that

02:33weather front just bringing some rain and drizzle at times. But that's all from me for
