00:00Hello there, very good morning to you. It is an east-west split in exactly how it feels
00:05first thing today. Cold air is still in play across the east to provide a chilly start
00:11here but further towards the west southerly winds are starting to bring in something a
00:16touch milder here. The joint factor between east and west though is that there are some
00:21fog patches around to provide some low visibility. Quite dense in places so do take care if you
00:26are about to step out or travel at all. Once the fog does clear across parts of England
00:31and Wales though and into eastern Scotland as well there will be some sunshine throughout
00:34the day to enjoy but further towards the north and west the cloud is going to be building.
00:38There will be some patchy outbreaks of rain for Northern Ireland into the Outer Hebrides
00:42and the Highlands as well. Temperatures here around 8 to 9 degrees Celsius but with the
00:47cold air in play further east will be down towards 3 or 4 degrees Celsius despite that
00:52sunshine. There could again be some isolated mist and fog patches during the forthcoming
00:57evening and overnight mainly now further towards the east and south. The winds will be certainly
01:03picking up in strength further towards the north and west. Gales developing around coastlines
01:08overnight as further outbreaks of rain push their way in. Temperatures here again will
01:13be holding up quite noticeably so certainly 8 to 7 degrees Celsius. There will still be
01:19less of a frost around tonight compared to some recent ones but can't rule out that localised
01:25spots in the south and east do manage to get close towards 0 degrees Celsius. The best
01:31of the brightness though first thing on Monday will be in southeastern areas once any isolated
01:36fog does clear its way off. The cloud though here will tend to build so sunshine will turn
01:40hazier into the afternoon and this is all due to the rain band that's going to start
01:45slipping its way ever so slightly southwards. South seeing some heavier pulses of rain at
01:49times. It's quite a blustery day for Northern Ireland and Scotland with widespread gusts
01:54here but those southwesterly winds are now filtering in that much milder air 11 to 13
02:00degrees Celsius here. Quite dramatic increase in temperatures closer towards average for
02:06the time of year for England and Wales around 6 to 7. During the forthcoming week we're
02:11going to continue to see this north-south split in our temperatures with northern areas
02:16holding on to double digit figures quite widely. It is worth noting though that with
02:21this rise in temperatures we are going to see a thaw of the snow that's been falling
02:25over the past week. That could cause some localised issues where it starts leading to
02:30surface water on the road so it is worth taking care but we'll have plenty more updates on
02:35what you can expect during the rest of the week on our YouTube channel and across social
02:39media so do join us there. See you later, bye bye.
