00:00Hello there, a very good morning to you. This week is all about topsy-turvy
00:04temperatures. I'm very used to talking about how it's colder in the north and
00:09warmer in the south but that is certainly not the case today. We're
00:12starting off Monday with widely mild conditions for Northern Ireland and
00:15Scotland already double digits in places. Meanwhile for England and Wales it is
00:20much chillier, some patchy frost across some districts. We've currently got cold
00:24air trapped underneath an area of high pressure in the southeast with light
00:28winds here as well but strong and mild southwesterly winds are pushing their
00:32way in across parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland. This accompanied by a cold
00:36front that's bringing outbreaks of rain during today so it will be turning
00:40fairly damp and wet for these northwestern districts around all those
00:44gusts as well. The rain will slowly push its way into parts of Cumbria and
00:47northwest England also around Anglesey into northwest Wales later on this
00:51afternoon. The rest of England and Wales will manage to stay dry but it is going
00:54to be a relatively cloudy day, brightness certainly in short supply but a few
00:58clearer spells maybe for the far north of Scotland later on this afternoon. This
01:02band of rain though is going to act as a boundary line for our temperatures.
01:05You'll see again it is noticeably mild for Scotland and Northern Ireland but
01:09cooler still across England and Wales 5 to 7 degrees Celsius here. This band of
01:15rain will slowly ease as we head into the evening and overnight period but it
01:19is also going to stall a bit across more central areas of the UK so still some
01:23outbreaks of lighter rain and drizzle possible here throughout the night.
01:27Dryer towards the north and the south a few clear spells around there once again
01:31but this frontal system is still going to act as that boundary line in our
01:34temperatures. Once again for Scotland and Northern Ireland it is going to be a
01:38very mild night. Temperatures again in places may hold up in double digit
01:42figures. Further towards the south there is once again the chance that we see
01:45some patchy frost around first thing on Tuesday morning. Maybe also some isolated
01:50fog patches here that will just take a little bit of time in the morning to
01:53clear their way off. The rain now has eased for many of us but it will still
01:58be drizzly across more higher ground sites so for Eyrie, the Bannau Blytheinog
02:02across the Pennines and the Lake District as well. Perhaps a few just
02:07skirting into the far north of the Highlands as well. The best of the
02:10sunshine on Tuesday is probably going to be for some southern coastal districts
02:14of England but also eastern areas of Scotland should see some brightness
02:17poking its way through at times. Generally though cloudy for the vast
02:20majority. Those temperatures on Tuesday range in between 8 in the south and 11
02:25to 12 degrees Celsius in the north. As we move into the forthcoming week it is
02:30generally going to be more northern and western areas that see the greatest
02:34chance of a bit more in the way of rain and drizzle around at times but many of
02:37us should see a relatively settled week to come. There is the ongoing chance of
02:41mist and fog lingering in places across more southern districts though and those
02:45topsy-turvy temperatures are going to continue right throughout the week.
02:49Double digits still persisting in the north, a little bit cooler in the south.
02:53We'll have plenty more updates on all of that on our YouTube channel with a full
02:58week ahead forecast posted late on so make sure you are subscribed for that so
03:02you get the notification of when it's uploaded and we'll see you again here
03:05very soon. Bye bye.
