00:00The Legal Affairs Division of the Prime Minister's Department says it has not received any addendum

00:07from Istana Nagara allowing Najib Bazlak to serve the remainder of his jail sentence

00:11under house arrest.

00:13In a statement, the division, which serves as the Secretariat of the Federal Territories

00:18Pardons Board, confirmed that its official records contained no additional document or

00:22addendum.

00:24It said it has not received any order from Istana Nagara regarding the matter either.

00:29The division also clarified that the Law and Institutional Reform Ministry, helmed by

00:33Azalina Othmanzadeh, was not involved in the administration of the Pardons Board.

00:39It warned that statements that could mislead the public concerning the position or role

00:43of the Pardons Board could lead to legal action.

00:46On Monday, Najib obtained a leave to begin judicial review proceedings that compelled

00:51the government to place him under house arrest.

00:54On the same day, Najib's lawyer, Shafi Abdullah, revealed in court that the controller of the

00:59Pahang Royal Household had confirmed the existence of the addendum order in a letter.
