00:00Zia Ibrahim has questioned how innovative GLCs and GLICs can be in driving Bhoomi Putra

00:08economy growth under the new Putra 35 initiative.

00:13The former law minister warned that the plan might follow the same pattern as past efforts

00:19in which only Bhoomi Putra's linked to tycoons, the royalty, top politicians, and senior civil

00:25servants would be enriched.

00:28In a Facebook post, Zia asked why the government is doing the same thing over and over again,

00:34adding that the quest to promote Bhoomi Putra's seem never-ending and has failed to produce

00:40meaningful outcomes.

00:42He said the only viable solution was to treat all Malaysians as equals, a stance he claimed

00:48was not favoured by politicians.

00:51Yesterday, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim called on GLCs and GLICs to do more to drive innovation

00:59and development in the Bhoomi Putra community.

01:03He said the Bhoomi Putra Economic Council will oversee the implementation of Putra 35,

01:09also known as the Bhoomi Putra Economic Transformation Plan 2035.
