00:23Well yeah thanks for joining us what a day as the Bears have asked for permission to
00:27chat with Mike McCarthy.
00:29Is there any indication yet the Cowboys have granted that permission?
00:33I have no knowledge of that and that will be fascinating to see if they do because that
00:37seems like that would be kind of telling that if they were to grant that permission that
00:41would seem like they are ready to move in another direction.
00:44I would think that the longer that no other teams talk to Mike McCarthy and the longer
00:49things go on I would think that that means that Mike is probably coming back so that
00:54was an interesting report to surface recently but you know when Jerry was asked about it
00:58after the game he kind of compared it to the Ezekiel Elliott situation where he's
01:02like well Ezekiel Elliott wanted out and so I allowed him to you know go see what other
01:06opportunities are out there and that he wants people around that want to be here so almost
01:11making it sound like that if Mike was to talk to another team then maybe he doesn't want
01:14to be here and so he would allow that to happen well we'll see if he allows that.
01:18Yeah that's fascinating do you think there's a chance that as this reported meeting between
01:23Mike and Jerry gets underway either this afternoon or evening that we could have a deal tonight
01:28you think or early tomorrow morning?
01:30I mean it's possible I just felt like the way the Cowboys operate it's probably something
01:35that happens you know let's be honest it wouldn't surprise me if it was something that happened
01:40at the end of the week or even going into these wildcard games just because that's how
01:45Cowboys do business I mean that's how it was with Jason Garrett you know I think Jerry
01:50will allow Mike to do all these interviews all his players those usually take a couple
01:54days and then he'll meet with Mike at the end of all of those and so yeah maybe it comes
01:59together quickly but I just I don't know it's like covering the Cowboys there's just so
02:04few things that come together quickly I mean you obviously see it with the contract extensions
02:09for the top players that you know that they want to bring back and they constantly go
02:12until like the 11th hour until they finally get done and so because of that it's kind
02:18of like I'll believe when I see it I just think it's going to be kind of dragged out
02:21a little bit.
