Who should be on the shortlist to be the next Cowboys coach?

The Cowboys now find themselves in need of a new head coach after they and Mike McCarthy parted ways this morning. Who should be on their shortlist to replace McCarthy? Will a former Cowboy like Kellen Moore or Jason Witten have a good shot? What about Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn? The GBag Nation discusses who they'd like to see and who they think will be the next head coach in Dallas in the video above.

00:54And then it's primetime Dion.

00:57And then it's Cliff Kingsbury.

00:59Didn't Jerry already shut down the Dion idea pretty much?

01:01I know he says a lot of stuff and it's hard to tell what you can take seriously and not.

01:06And Dion kind of shut it down himself.

01:07Like he said, he really just wants to coach his sons.

01:10Yeah, I think he's not going to get to do that here.

01:12If he is going to be coach, it would have to be after the draft till he knows where

01:16his son is going and then maybe start next year or start, you know, as a position coach

01:22with a team.

01:23But the Dion Sanders would be shocking.

01:25I think you're flushing your money away.

01:27And all things could be more possible if the if the Cowboys were willing to money whip

01:31somebody and just not allow them to say take no for an answer.

01:35But we know the Cowboys position on that.

01:38Kingsbury's third, then Joe Brady, office of coordinator for the Bills, then Lincoln

01:43Funny enough, as if he's I mean, give me a break.

01:46And then it's Ben Johnson, Bill Belichick, Brian Flores, yada, yada, yada.

01:49The Lincoln Riley thing is hilarious because I don't think the Bears, who have done a lot

01:53of interviewing and requesting, even requested to interview Lincoln Riley.

01:57And that's Caleb Williams, former coach.

01:59If you're interested in Lincoln Riley, to me, that would be all I need to know.

02:02I've got the players, former head coach at quarterback, and I'm not interested.

02:08So if I'm the Cowboys, like again, that would be very, very spot on for them.

02:11They're a little bit late to the party on this.

02:13Like two years ago, Lincoln was a sexy name.

02:16Not anymore.

02:17So it makes sense for them now to say, all right, let's do this with Lincoln Riley.

02:20I think you're right.

02:21I think Kellen Moore is number one.

02:23He's most likely going to get the job if he wants to take the job.

02:27And why?

02:28Because also then Jason Whitten could be part of the staff.

02:30And maybe that's big picture whom they envision as being their guy like they did with Jason

02:35Garrett.

02:36That seems to be a lot of the momentum right now in a perfect world.
