00:00Are you surprised Mike McCarthy didn't run the ball more last night?
00:19Well, I mean, no, I'm not surprised by anything.
00:23I mean, they have not, I mean, they have not run the ball well, and they've run it better
00:29here recently.
00:30I think, you know, there's always that aspect of, I'd like to run the ball, I'd like to
00:36run it efficiently, I'd like to keep Joe Burrow off the football field, I'd like to keep Jamar
00:40Chase off the football field.
00:42I, like, I understand all that.
00:44Your best weapon, your best usage of that weapon is obviously CeeDee Lamb.
00:50And so, you know, there's a fine balance that you, I think you orchestrate.
00:55But there's a bottom line for me with the Dallas Cowboys, and I said this on my morning
01:00show, the breakfast ball on FS1.
01:04I would retain Mike McCarthy.
01:05I think Mark McCarthy's a good coach.
01:07I don't think Mike McCarthy's the issue.
01:09Like, the issue is talent.
01:12The issue is a lack of talent.
01:14And you know, you can sit there and say, well, Mike McCarthy didn't do a good job.
01:17I'm sorry.
01:18Like, your owner, your GM didn't do a good job.
01:21Like, there is a lack of talent.
01:23And listen, on the defensive side of the ball, Michael Parsons is an incredible player.
01:28But if I only have to deal with one guy as an offensive player, if I have to figure out
01:32how to scheme one guy out of a game plan, that's easy.
01:36When you have multiple guys, that's when it becomes a problem.
01:39And so, for me, I look at Dallas, and I'm like, you know, you lost your left tackle.
01:44You lost your center.
01:45You lost different players.
01:47You lost your running back.
01:48You went to Tennessee.
01:49He's a damn good player.
01:50Like, you didn't really replace any of those guys.
01:53And you know, you said, oh, we're all in, and we got a bunch of young players that are
01:56going to play well.
01:57Yeah, I haven't seen that.
01:58I don't think anybody's seen it to this point.
02:00So I don't look at this like, Mike McCarthy lost his fastball, or Mike McCarthy doesn't
02:08know what he's doing.
02:09I just don't agree with that.
