00:00Nearly a full week into the new year, the country's premier international gateway is still a beehive of activity.

00:06People flying out in bunches and just a tad more homegrown tourists and those from abroad seeking relief and refuge

00:13here in the country from the ice and freeze from whence they came.

00:17And many have begun to take notice of the improvements in facilities, equipment and service

00:22that has obtained since the new management took over in September of last year.

00:26Most of the arrivals have noticed in the upgrade in service plus the ongoing renovations

00:31that can only mean even better airport excellent experience.

00:34Meanwhile, airport authorities and personnel are keeping count of those leaving and coming in, especially the latter.

00:41And by late afternoon or early evening, the crowd has not subsided even those coming in have not let up.

00:47Airport authorities claim some 163,000 departing and arriving passengers were accounted for today

00:53and expect NIA authorities to keep a close eye on the count of passengers coming in.
