00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. has left the country for his work-in-visit to the United Arab Emirates,

00:07according to Presidential Communications Acting Secretary Cesar Chavez.

00:11At 6 a.m. here in the Philippines,

00:14President Marcos, Jr. arrived in the United Arab Emirates with First Lady Luis Araneta Marcos.

00:21At 2 p.m., the Chief Executive of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

00:29along with DFA Undersecretary Charles Jose,

00:33where the two leaders are expected to talk about strengthening the ties between the UAE and the Philippines,

00:41and also talk about improving the situation of the Filipinos there.

00:45Some cultural cooperation agreements are expected to be signed

00:50led by NUNCCA Chairperson Vic Manalo.

00:54The PCO first initiated the request of the President to the Filipino communities in the UAE

01:01that he will not be able to visit because he will return to the Philippines right away

01:05for personal reasons related to relief and reconstruction activities

01:09in the communities affected by the recent typhoons.
