00:08Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's Facebook page after he successfully obtained leave

00:13from the Court of Appeal in his bid to serve the remainder of his sentence under house

00:18arrest.

00:19Earlier, in a 2-1 decision, the Court of Appeal overturned the High Court's dismissal of

00:24Najib's application for leave to initiate a judicial review regarding the prison time

00:29imposed on him in the SRC International Sendirian Berhad trial.

00:35Justice Mohammad Firuz Jafril, delivering the majority decision, stated that the issue

00:40of hearsay was no longer relevant due to new evidence presented in an affidavit filed by

00:45Najib's son, Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar.

00:49The judge clarified that a judicial review application only required the applicant to

00:54demonstrate a legitimate case to argue, showing that their rights or interests were aggrieved

00:59and that the application was not frivolous.

01:02The Court also allowed Najib to submit new evidence, including a letter from the Majlis

01:07Ke Sultanan Pahang.

01:08Meanwhile, UMNO is appealing to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, for

01:14a full pardon for Najib following his success in the Court of Appeal.
