00:00Welcome to Ibu Rubi's, the latest gem in Bangsar's vibrant food scene.

00:07Step inside and you'll find a space that feels like a warm hug from the past.

00:12Nostalgic tunes fill the air while sunlight streams through glass walls,

00:17creating a welcoming, elegant atmosphere.

00:20But the true magic of this place lies in its story.

00:23Ibu Rubi's isn't just a restaurant,

00:26it's a tribute to the woman who inspired its founder, Haji Muhammad Imran, to open this place.

00:32I spent a lot of time with her in the kitchen,

00:35and she imparted quite a few of her recipes that I carried with me until this day.

00:41She was an amazing chef, and so to honor her legacy,

00:46I decided to create a restaurant named after her, Ibu Rubi's,

00:51that took some of her best recipes and bring them to the world.

00:55Start your meal with the juice tiga rasa,

00:58a tangy drink inspired by traditional tiga rasa cooking.

01:02With this drink, hot, sweet and sour flavors come together to wake up your senses.

01:08For the main event, try the nasi lemak ayam kalasan.

01:12It's a Malaysian classic with an Indonesian twist.

01:15Golden, crispy fried chicken paired perfectly with fragrant coconut basmati rice and spicy sambal.

01:24Obviously, we'd like to think that we have the best nasi lemak in Bangsa,

01:28and people are raving about our nasi lemak on Google Reviews.

01:32Next up, the nasi lemak udang gala.

01:35Fresh river prawns, tender and sweet, are infused with the restaurant's signature chili lime sauce.

01:42A fiery sambal ties the dish together, creating a perfect balance of flavors.

01:47And then there's the nasi ambing, a standout dish that's rich, coconutty and layered with bold flavors.

01:55Slow-cooked chicken leg, spicy eggplant sambal, fried noodles, kacang botol salad and crispy fish crackers

02:02make this a hearty and satisfying feast.

02:06End your meal with pisang bakar, a dessert that's simple yet indulgent.

02:11The caramelized bananas have a smoky sweetness and are paired with ice cream and served in a charming coconut shell.
