00:00First game on Friday night, what a scene it was in snowy South Bend, Indiana for the in-state

00:10showdown between Notre Dame and Indiana.

00:13That's 7-10 split.

00:15Notre Dame wins 27-17.

00:17This actually, the lowest margin in the opening round, it wasn't really all that close.

00:24It was 27-3 for a good majority of the game before IU scored two touchdowns in the final

00:29minute and a half of regulation that even included converting a successful onside kick.

00:35It was all Notre Dame, all night long.

00:38The Irish win big by double digits in the first ever playoff game in the 12-team era,

00:44in the first ever on-campus playoff game in the history of college football playoff.

00:49Yeah, it went as expected.

00:50Notre Dame's a really good football team.

00:52Outside of that loss to NIU, they basically pulverized most of their opponents and pretty

00:55much did the same against Indiana.

00:57It's close to score, closer than what the game actually indicated, but I was really

01:01impressed.

01:02The one running back that I've loved all season long, which I know a lot of Notre Dame fans

01:04would scream, like, why don't we just get the ball to Jeremiah Love even more?

01:07That does get banged up in the last game, but come on now, 98-yard touchdown run to

01:12get that, you slowing right off the bat there at Notre Dame Stadium.

01:14That was as impressive as you're going to find, and they just held on and did what they

01:17had to do to win that game.

01:19I just wish sometimes in the college football, I know you're not going to get brand recognition,

01:22and I don't think Notre Dame was going to lose to Alabama, and I don't think Miami was

01:25going to go into Penn State and win, but you might have had a little bit more atmosphere

01:28before the games and hype as compared to what you actually got there, but I don't know if

01:32the results would have changed here, regardless of whether or not you think they should have

01:35gotten in.

01:36Notre Dame's really good.

01:37They were home.

01:38They were supposed to win, and they did.
