00:15Whitchurch Sports Stadium in South Bristol has been earmarked for new homes and property

00:22development as part of the council's 1,435-home Hengrove Park development, but many locals

00:30were upset at the news that they may lose their former Whitchurch Sports Stadium. In

00:36order to combat this loss, a group of residents have been campaigning to reopen and regenerate

00:43the former track, which has been used as a cycling centre since around 2016 and has been

00:50very popular amongst locals. And the campaign has got much traction, including some large

00:58sports star names.
