The number of van dwellers at a beauty spot in Bristol has drastically shrunk after action
00:08
was taken by Bristol City Council to tackle the long-standing encampment. The moving on
00:14
of the majority of the dwellers comes after a group was reassessed as high impact by the
00:21
council. They were given 14 days to vacate the area or threatened with legal action and
00:28
it appears that many are now abiding by the order.

Parrys Lane has been a popular parking spot for van dwellers for a number of years. Many
00:38
van dwellers remained on the road despite the two-week deadline passing but a number
00:43
said they were planning to uproot last weekend after a parking suspension was put in place
00:49
on Parrys Lane. A council spokesperson says officers will continue to monitor the situation
00:55
and communicate with both vehicle dwellers and local residents.
