00:57I think this is a really good programme. This really brings everything to life for the students.
01:18We've seen how engaged the students here are with all of this and how interested they are
01:23in being able to have their say and shape the communities that we live in.
01:27So I just think this is exactly the right way to engage people, start early on.
01:40I learnt teamwork and listening to other people's ideas.
01:47We did the building and it was so fun. We got muddled at the first bit but we figured it out and we did it.
01:58I want to show people that I can be good at being Prime Minister and MP.
02:17It was brilliant actually hearing the voice of those young people in County Hall
02:21so we can understand what their priorities are and what they want as their councillors.
02:25I echo that and I think it's just really good to make young people realise that they can be the change they want to see
02:33and they can all do it. It doesn't matter what background you come from, who you are, how old you are, whatever.
02:38Just talk the views and you have a place to do that.
02:42It was a really, really positive experience again for all of us.
02:46I think we're regulars supporting this sort of activity in the council chamber
02:51and it's just good to see the enthusiasm, the knowledge and the inquisitive minds actually going straight.
02:57I think the day started, didn't it, with the first question was straight in about waste
03:02and it was just really refreshing and so much more positive than some meetings we as adult councillors have.
03:10Some fresh perspectives and some really, really good questions for us to think about.
