00:00I'm nicely to the benefits what are they what are the primary things that for
00:03another man myself what can we feel that we're getting back from this is the
00:07question I suppose yeah no it's absolutely it's a totally understandable
00:10question it's really important that this project should it go ahead that it has to
00:16benefit the whole island the principal benefit really that we we have is around
00:21the the economic benefit that we will be delivering back through Treasury and
00:28that comes in the form of taxation and also seedbed rental and we put the
00:33document together will submitted also published in August which sets out these
00:39benefits but that's we estimate that'll be around two billion pounds over the
00:43lifetime of the project in addition to that we've committed to a substantial
00:48community investment fund one and a half million pounds per year for the first 15
00:53years operation as that's 22 and a half million pounds for the island for
00:59projects and community projects and organizations and charitable causes on
01:04the island and there's obviously quite a substantial potential for businesses to
01:13be involved in the project particularly around construction and that will involve
01:17jobs we've made a commitment for at least 30 long-term pilot land based jobs during the
01:24operational phase that's up to 35 years but also there's opportunities for businesses on the
01:29island to get involved in that construction and operational phase we're not going to be
01:34building again our turbines from the island or building foundations here but
01:38there's there's a lot of secondary hyperlocal supply chain opportunities and we've spoken to the
01:44chamber of commerce and others quite recently about those that that potential there's also
01:51apprenticeships apprenticeships that we've done we've done that in the UK west hub in the UK
01:55really successfully opportunities for technicians and joy again during the operational phase and we've
02:04got already working quite closely with the institution educational institutions here we're a biosphere partner so
02:12we're working we will continue to work with particularly organizations in in the environmental sphere such as
02:21bird life amongst wildlife trust really to build that offering and ensure that we are delivering a net
02:28positive biodiversity impact project that's something we're committed to do an Isle of Man this more
02:36valuable project is a real opportunity first opportunity for us really to showcase that we need to put some
02:41meat on the bones of that we recognize that so these are all these are all the kind of financial
02:47environmental benefits we're also talking to much utilities and the government about how we can
02:54potentially offer something that benefits the whole of the island in terms of actual on their energy bills and
03:00that's something that it isn't our decision to make we'll have to work with government and
03:06which utilities around that but we're really keen to see this project benefit everyone and also there's the
03:13energy security element here so I mentioned earlier we've we've got the opportunity to bring direct link back to
03:22the island from from the offshore wind farm the offshore wind farm
