00:04event encouraging people to shop locally for gifts. Popping up at the social hub in Candle
00:09Rigs on Saturday the 30th of November, one of Glasgow's longest running and most established
00:13markets will be bringing curated arts, crafts, vintage clothing and music along for a festive
00:19shopping experience. In the past few years a number of permanent and pop-up markets have
00:23opened across the city offering local traders a platform to access customers, generate profits
00:29and gain recognition. Here are some of the other markets running before the 25th of December.
00:33There is of course the Badas market in the East End open on Saturdays and Sundays between 10 and
00:384. Then there's a Forge another East End staple with over 180 traders it's open Thursdays to
00:43Sundays between 10 and 5. And then there's the Milngavie Farmers Market on Douglas Street open
00:48on the first and third Friday of each month where you can find locally sourced produce,
00:52home baking, handmade gifts and cards.
