00:00A street in the south side of Glasgow has been named one of the best in the UK for stylish
00:04Christmas shopping according to the Sunday Times. In a list of eight high streets,
00:08Pollock Shaw's was numbered the fifth best because of its thriving pockets of indie shops,
00:14cafes and eateries, as well as the scenery from the nearby Queen's Park and rows of tenement
00:19buildings. It's highlighted Barnfield Bakery for Danish pastries, Godshot Studio for gifts and
00:24coffee and Starter Culture for cheese and wine. Other Glasgow streets we think would be great for
00:30Christmas shopping include Byers Road with a number of charity shops and independents.
00:35Our favourites include Papyrus for bespoke kitchenware, cards and gifts, Tim and Tite
00:40for furnishings and Oliver Bonas for clothes and trinkets. Then there's Argyle Street which
00:45goes from the city centre to the west end with a variety of shopping options. Then Ingram Street
00:50for higher end shopping with places like Cruise, End and Flannels. And then there's Dumbarton Road
00:55in the west end which is home to great knick-knack shops including Plantique and Fountain.
