00:07Members of the Trinidad and Tobago scrap iron dealers association were in penal on Monday
00:12That's earlier today armed with signs and a megaphone
00:16They protested outside a scrapyard which they claim is being run by traitors
00:23Because we bring them here to work with us we bring them here to buy our materials
00:29Exporters and now they start to take away the yards and them from people who under pressure
00:34So we as we as we as the members of the association say enough is enough
00:39We're not waiting for no government to help me. We're not waiting for no police to help me. We saying we
00:46Going to take back our industry
00:49This is the start of what we're going to do in all them
00:52Foreign scrapyards because of mischief in Trinidad and Tobago and and to make it clear, we're buying things we're not supposed to buy
01:00We're taking things we're not supposed to take. We're doing what we're not supposed to do
01:05They just don't care about me and this industry
01:10The association is condemning the condition of the scrapyard and the president of the association
01:16Claims this could lead to the local scrap metal industry being shut down again
01:23And we say to the militia, take a watchman. Watch what's going on here. Come and take a look
01:29All the people that want the media to take a look at it, look at that. That's where they're going to end the scrapyard
01:36We're just trying to spend money to make sure we place it in a standard and that's where they're going to end the scrapyard
01:43You understand? We're saying enough is enough. We need to get rid of these people and we now start
01:50We say we see the slag, if the door is shut down, we're coming back here

01:57We will have to use all the power that we have from the law to make sure it's shut down
