00:00The Agriculture Department will hold a two-day expo

00:03to highlight the achievements of the President's cadiwa

00:06that can help the target food security of the country.

00:13The President's Cadiwa Expo will be held in Casadena

00:17at the Philippine International Convention Center or PICC

00:21from November 26 to November 28.

00:24According to the Agriculture Department,

00:26the President's Cadiwa Expo aims to highlight

00:29the achievements of the program since 2022.

00:33It includes farmer cooperatives, retailers, and resellers.

00:38It also helps other agencies

00:41in our fisheries and fisheries.

00:44It will also highlight the importance of the program

00:47to the food security of the country.

00:49This is because farmers directly sell their products

00:53to their families.

00:54This week,

00:56there is a Cadiwa Center in the Bureau of Plant Industry

00:58in Malati, Manila.

00:59We invite you, on behalf of the Department of Agriculture,

01:04to visit and support the Cadiwa of the President's Expo.

01:42Meanwhile, in the midst of the upcoming typhoons,

01:46the Agriculture Department

01:48confirmed the ongoing indemnification payment

01:50or insurance claim of farmers and fishers

01:54who were affected by the calamities.

01:57As of today,

01:58PCIC has already paid

02:00more than P451 million pesos

02:04to almost 49,000 beneficiaries

02:08or farmers and fishers

02:10who were affected by the calamities.

02:13We expect that the payment will continue.

02:16We expect that the payment to Christine

02:18will reach P667 million.

02:22And the other typhoons that affected

02:24our farmers and fishers

02:26are also continuously validated by PCIC.

02:30For those whose farms or fisheries are not insured,

02:35the Agriculture Department said

02:37that they can receive free rice,

02:40vegetables, and fat from the government.

03:10that there is a sufficient supply of pork this holiday season.

03:13The price of pork, chicken, and others is also stable.

03:17We were assured by our partners in the livestock industry,

03:21especially by the pork farmers,

03:22that the supply of pork is sufficient.

03:24In fact, the price,

03:26from last month to this month,

03:28is stable.

03:30The chicken is P320 per kilo

03:33and the pork is P380.

03:36And we don't see a rapid increase in the price of pork.

03:40The same goes for the chicken.

03:41It is very stable and our production is good.

03:44It increased by almost 6% in the last quarter

03:47for our poultry industry.

03:50And the price of our chicken is also very stable.

03:53President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. also ordered

03:56the strengthening of seedling production in the country.
