00:20And one of the participants was Health Department Secretary Chodoro Herbosa.
00:26Now, in the media briefing earlier, Secretary Herbosa said that he will present to President Marcos
00:34the program for vaccination for Filipino youth.

00:42against diseases such as measles, rubella, polio, hepa B, and many others.
00:47While every Friday, within the month of October,
00:50children who want to get vaccinated can go to all DepEd schools.
00:56The target is Grade 1 students, and Grade 7 students, as well as Grade 4 students.
01:01The data shows that the vaccination rate in the country needs to be increased.
01:05According to Secretary Herbosa, the vaccination rate has been decreasing in the past years
01:10because of the COVID-19 pandemic,
01:12where students have no access to the schools where vaccination is usually conducted.
01:19All health workers are also affected by the pandemic.
01:22That's why there is no vaccine against COVID-19.
01:24Therefore, to strengthen the vaccination program, Secretary Herbosa is inviting President Marcos.
01:30In other words, every year, the Health Department targets 2 million young people to be vaccinated.
