00:00My apologies. As I was saying, I like to make Hoover Canucks,

00:02the Vancouver Canucks score a goal tonight, which is rare for

00:05them. They don't score the first goal of the game often. In fact,

00:08they gave up the first goal in nine consecutive games. I think

00:12they scored the first goal the other night, actually, on

00:14Saturday, and they won. And then they didn't score. They were

00:18down to Nashville. They lost. So yeah, they've been really,

00:22really slow starters. Now, there's also the news of JT

00:25Miller, who's kind of like the heart and soul of the team, to

00:28be honest. The Canucks have a lot of good players, but like

00:32in the room, they really look up to JT Miller. Like he's kind

00:35of the... Hughes is the captain, but JT Miller's the guy. Like

00:40Miller, when they're not doing well, he talks. Like Miller's

00:42the one that was the practical joker in the playoffs to break

00:45the nerves after losses and stuff like that. And so they

00:48all love him to death, this guy. And JT Miller loves the city

00:51of Vancouver to death. His kids were born in Vancouver. And so

00:54it's very emotional, but JT Miller had to take a leave of

00:57absence due to personal reasons. And as I stated, it's

01:02not alcohol or substance abuse issues or anything like that,

01:04which often is when you hear this in the NHL, but it's not.

01:08They basically said he's just sort of burnt out, and I don't

01:10know what's going on in his personal life, right? Some

01:12things, you know, we don't need to know. All we need to know

01:15is it's not drugs, not alcohol, and it won't be long, but they

01:19basically said he needs time to reset. He just needs a little

01:22bit of time off right now, which like old school, it would be

01:26like, dude, you got to suck it up. Let's just call it off what

01:29it is. In the old days, the old Don Cherry, like, you know what

01:31I mean? The old, like, 70s, 80s, 60s, whatever. 60s, you wouldn't

01:35tell anybody if you got shot on the way to the arena. No, no,

01:37I didn't get shot. I'm good.

01:45The old days was like, dude, like, unless you're on crutches,

01:49like, you got to play and just suck it up. Like, I know it's

01:51tough, but here's some drugs. That's the way it was. Here's

01:54some pills. Here's some drugs, and we don't care what drugs

01:57you do after the game in your hotel room, but you need to

01:59play. But I respect if you can't give all your team, you know,

02:04to the team, and your mind is elsewhere. This is professional

02:08sports. It's a high level. You could get hurt. You could get

02:11someone else hurt. There's a lot, like a lot at stake here.

02:15So I don't have a problem with him stepping back and getting

02:17recharged. I wish him wishing the best, but they actually

02:20surprised everybody and scored first.
